Mansfield Town Vs Wrexham

Wrexham Through to FA Cup Second Round After Entertaining Win Over Mansfield Town

Sam Dalby and Paul Mullin Scored in Either Half

Wrexham 2-0 Mansfield Town

Wrexham booked their place in the FA Cup second round with a 2-0 win over League Two rivals Mansfield Town on Saturday. Sam Dalby gave the Dragons the lead in the first half, before Paul Mullin doubled the advantage after the break.

The result means that Wrexham will now face Boreham Wood in the second round of the competition, which will be played on December 3.

Wrexham made a bright start to the game and took the lead in the 18th minute. Dalby was on hand to convert a cross from Jordan Davies, giving the Dragons the perfect start.

Mansfield Town grew into the game as the half wore on, but they were unable to find a way past a resolute Wrexham defence. The Dragons held on to their slender advantage until half-time.

Wrexham continued to press for a second goal after the break, and they were rewarded in the 65th minute. Mullin was on hand to tap home from close range after a cross from Liam McAlinden.

Mansfield Town pushed for a goal in the closing stages, but Wrexham held on to secure their place in the second round of the FA Cup.

The win was a welcome boost for Wrexham, who have been in impressive form in recent weeks. The Dragons are now unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions, and they will be hoping to continue their good form when they face Boreham Wood in the FA Cup second round.
